It's winter time (still...grrr) and winter time is sock time. Here you see my pile of socks. Boooorrrrriiiing! I always buy the big ol' packs of socks. I wear them because I hate wearing shoes without socks and because it's cold. They aren't overly comfortable and they certainly aren't very pretty.
Monday, I went to Target to look for some St. Patty's Day wear for Princess and me. I found these socks.
I never knew what I was missing! Not only are they way cuter than my ever so boring black/white socks, they are so soft and comfy. Who knew there was such a difference in socks?! I think I may have found my new addiction. Yes, in this mom's life, it's the little things... (Excuse the pink fluffy slipper to the right. I have no idea where that came from. It certainly couldn't be mine.)

I love purty socks too.
Very nice!
We've had some laundry issues lately so it seems that we never have any clean socks. I wore a fluorescent pink pair with my brown clogs the other day. That was a fashion mistake!
Welcome to the world of sock-love. It is impossible to feel guilty about treating oneself to a pair of totally awesome, yet completely practical socks. If you want a real treat, go to http://www.littlemissmatched.com. My husband bought me some socks from this site for Christmas.
I LOVE socks. Just the sound(yes, sounds again) of the word "socks" makes me all warm and fuzzy. Even better if they are fun and you want to show them off. I can't wait to look at Kelly's suggested website.
Okay, now I'm second guessing my HOB prizes again! Sorry!!!
All my socks are boring, too. Plus, I rarely even wear any. Even in the winter.
Love your new ones!
And you thought Sarah and I were crazy for knitting socks.....
Ugh... now I have to go buy some socks to see for myself. *sigh* It's all your fault!! ;)
I was sitting in RooterX's math activity talking with Freckle this afternoon about my new found love of socks. She told me I was old. I think she was just being mean. ;)
Oh, Aliceson, I think you can totally pull of fluorescent pink w/brown clogs!
Kelly, OOHH!!! Awesome sock site! I'll have to leave the computer open to that site for my hubby to see.
HerbiFaery, yes...socks...great sound. I had no idea socks could be so wonderful!
Rachel, you sent me the perfect gift!! I really do love it. (shhh...I used it on my fingers. yes, I have hair there, too..sigh..)
RasJane, yes...I now *must* learn how to knit socks. I told Freckle I want socks for every holiday, even the Jewish ones. Those I will definitely have to knit.
Secret Mom Thoughts, thanks for stopping by my blog! It's nice to meet you!! =) Purty socks are more awesome than I ever knew...
Argyle socks are pretty tangy knitting, Shady. You'd be jumping into the deep end of the wool, er, pool with socks like those for your firsties. ;)
Sarah, trust me, I'll be coming to you for advice on my first sock pattern. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... So, what's a good first sock pattern?
