Thanks for sharing some of LK world now....it would be hard to go from Oregon with the green and trees to the desert. I pray for his safety.

Wow, that is totally a LOT of plywood! Man!

I loved the aerial shots of the land and especially the snaking river, very cool! It's hard to believe that at one time not so long ago, this whole land was lush and green.

Thanks for the glimpse!

We see him in Mexico on Feb. 22, then again around June 20 for the big move to the new house. He will be home for good September 18th...Princess' birthday!!

Love seeing the blue river winding though all that brown. I'm so glad to hear that he is transported by helicopter, probably the safest way to go.
Love the photos, really puts some reality in what's really going on in Afghanistan.

MandM & crinklebein,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love the photos, too. It helps me feel just a little less far away from my sweet man.

Wow! You have probably said before, but what is it he does for work?

I call him a computer nerd (which he obviously is not). He works with maintenance management software, currently Maximo. As to the details of what he does in Afghanistan? I have no idea. ;) A lot of things are confidential.
