Telling Time

I am a total book addict. A few times each year Scholastic Books has a warehouse sale. I am sure to go to each and every one. The most recent sale was last week. Princess and I had just been to the last warehouse sale only in mid-June, but yes, we simply had to go to the August sale.

We left with a box full of books. Almost all of them are for Princess to read to me. They are all books she selected herself and she is so excited to read them to me.

One bonus find was the Talking Clever Clock, a fun way to learn to tell time. I had no idea what it sold for. We paid the bargain price of $17.50, half the price marked on the box and less than half the price on Amazon! What a deal!

So cool! I loved when my daughter was younger ordering all kinds of books from them. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.

Frau, I even remember ordering Scholastic books as a kid! And a wonderful Labor Day to you, too.

SMT, yes, book sales rock.

Rachel, the library is our favorite place to go. Fortunately Princess has her own card now so maxing out on books is a lot harder.

Why oh why do they come up with the coolest things when my kids are too old for them.

It's like when they started building "labour" rooms in hospitals...with jacuzzi tubs and everything.

I feel so left out. :P

Hey Zayna...does it help to know that they wouldn't let me use the jacuzzi because my water had already broken when I arrived at the hospital? ;)

Why, yes it does! Thanks Shady.

Just kidding, no...that really sucks for you. A jacuzzi tub just sitting there and you can't use it. Arrggg!

Ok, that is really cool! my girls are sooooo uninterested in learning time from an "old-fashioned clock!" That would be perfect!

Lisa, I think it's so cool how homeschoolers across the country and around the world can connect and share ideas. I "get" so much from you, I'm glad you are "getting" something from me, too!

Thanks for stopping by. We went to Sesame Place and the zoo. That was all. We did not have Philly cheese steaks. I know that is practically I crime. Hubs is pretty restricted in his diet right now. I thought it was too mean to have one when he couldn't. Maybe we could meet up next year if we go back.

Hey, SMT! Meeting up would be fun, except I live 3000 miles away in Portland, Oregon. ;) Although, we are planning a trip back east next July.
