Not just older, better. At least according to the beautiful email from the Lizard King. He rocks my world.

This week for your viewing pleasure, I present Princess in the first sweater I've ever knitted to completion.
It should fit her for quite a while! Of course it's pink! What do you expect?!

Happy Birthday and very cute sweater! Your daughter has got a beautiful smile!
I said Happy Birthday in yesterday's post and you only get one a year...so there! ;)
And what do you mean you're afraid to sew when you can knit like that?
Knitting, IMHO, is much more difficult and requires boatloads more patience.
The sweater is gorgeous!
Happy Birthday!! Love the sweater good job Mom!
You both look fabulous! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
I am so impressed with the sweater. The arms are the same length and everything!
I hope you had a happy birthday.
;)
Hope you had a happy b-day!
Big hugs,
Skye
Happy Birthday!!!! Hope it was wonderful! Wow, impressed with the sweater. I'm still learning and practicing, but hope to be able to make stuff by next Christmas. :)
Thanks, Sheila! And yes, I have to agree...Princess has a beautiful smile. =)
Zayna, knitting, if you mess up, you can frog (pull out) and start over. In sewing, once you cut the fabric, it's done. Or in my case, you're screwed.
Frau, thanks and thanks!!
Why thank you Aliceson! My day was a blast...much better than I was expecting with LK not here. I have the two best friends ever!!
Thanks, Kelly! You should have seen in the beginning of the sweater when I tried to get the sweater over her head..."Ow, mommy! It hurts! Mommy stop!". And then I frogged it and started over. Did you know that children's heads are almost full grown?! So, when working with a formula one must take that into consideration and adjust.
Skye! Haven't "seen" you around in ages. Hope you are well. Thanks for stopping by!
Mandy, thanks for stopping by and commenting. Hang in there with the knitting. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can!
happy b-day ... and that sweater looks comfy!
Thanks, Fiona! You know, the entire time I was knitting the sweater, I thought the same thing. I am so knitting one for myself as soon as I finish the baby blanket.
It's beautiful and looks so cozy. Princess is really quite the little model, she really knows how to pose.
happy belated 45. You look great!

Very impressive! I'm just learning to knit and haven't ventured beyond scarves and washcloths yet. I'm a bit intimidated by projects that don't have right angles--and only right angles.
Colleen, I have been knitting for a little over a year. After knitting all the square and rectangular things, I ventured into hat knitting in the round. Find an easy beginner pattern. Then I discovered sock knitting. It helps to have friends who are knitting goddesses when learning how to knit socks. After that, I started a couple of sweaters, but never finished them. Then one of my knitting goddess friends recommended trying a top down, in the round, sweater. The sock knitting experience definitely helped. Keep knitting...you'll be amazed at what you can do. :)
Thanks, Lisa! So far, 45 rocks!
Princess is quite the model, isn't she...
Happy belated birthday! And congrats on the sweater. You amaze me!
