A while back I was bitching whining blogging about wanting to go home again, to stop moving from rental to rental, to own our very own home...a place for Princess to grow up, a place to make memories, a place to live for ever and ever and never stop.
Well guess what?! =)
Yup! It's pick your own stuff new. They break ground in March.

All 3 of you are going to LOVE it! And seriously, picking out your own stuff is the way to go! Congratulations!
Congrats!!! That is so exciting, I'm so happy for the 3 of you...boy what a year this is starting out to be.
Congrats. That is awesome.
I am jumping-up-and-down excited for you!! That is going to be so perfect! A castle for Princess! Congratulations. And have fun picking out all the new stuff. :-)
Thanks everyone! Yeah, Princess and I keep jumping up and down shreaking, "we're getting a new house, we're getting a new house". It's been a long time.
Kelly, as usual...you crack me up!!!
Zayna, you remembered!!!
Yahoo!!! So thrilled for you guys. Is it very close to where you are now? Will you be able to go by frequently to see the progress? That's what we did and G was always amazed to see what they had done. :)
Thank you, Sherry! It is close to where we are. We will be going over a lot to explore and take pictures. I've already started searching out books about building and construction for us to read. Yet another learning opportunity!!
Wow, that is pretty major! We went from owning to back in rentals when Ron was out of work for almost a year. I hope we can get back to owning one day.
Lisa, we have been in rentals for over 5 years. We have moved so many times, trying to find the right place that we could stay until we buy. We finally found a great rental where we planned to stay until we can buy. By the time we buy, we will only have been in this house 14 or 15 months. It has been hard, but I know it will be work the wait.
Hang in there!! It will come.
Congratulations AND happy 45!How very exciting to be building your own house and getting it exactly the way you want it. The property is so pretty, love the retaining stones.

Thanks, Lisa!! I know that looking at it right now there isn't much to love, but I love the retaining stones, too!! They are going to be a big part of the backyard landscape design. At least in my head. I need to find someone who is good at landscape design, but doesn't cost a fortune and will just design and let us do the work ourselves a little bit at a time. Not much to ask for...
