We have talked about alcohol, the effects and dangers if consumed in large quantities. We have talked about Nazis and World War II. We have talked about geography. We have learned that asp is another word for snake. All these things are questions that Princess asked. We have only talked briefly about these things, but it was an introduction to the topics which we can explore in more depth when Princess expresses that interest. For now, I think that at age 6, an introduction will suffice.

Hehe, "the acting is just as bad" made me laugh.
In my opinion, that's the best way to handle direct questions. Direct answers. Don't give them more info than they ask for...there's time enough for that.
:)
Who would think Indy would lead to so many questions and teachable moments?
Hi! I'm a first-time commenter. I found you by way of Ma Vie Folle. I like your blog!
That's crazy the questions kids come up with! I'm sure in the next few years this will be happening with my babe and all he questions...scary!
Sheri, I agree with you (I guess that's obvious;). I answered all of her questions and tried not to laugh when she called a cigarette a smoker. LOL
SMT, I know right?! Teaching moments pop up everywhere, don't they?
Babe, thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!! We watched the movie three times and each time Princess had more questions. The Nazi/concentration camp/WWII thing was a little hard for her since we're Jewish. I did find a way to tell her without scaring the crap out of her.
And what about how hot Harrison Ford is in this movie? I may have to pull this one out....
Eeek! How could I forget to mention that B?! Silly me!!
Good for you for having teachable moments with Princess. :)
Yup, Freckle...can't help it, it just happens! :)
