with a little help from a friend.
This friend is the person Princess calls sister. I don't know where she got the idea, but she believes it with every part of her being. Princess has known her "sister" since she was 8 or 9 months old. The bond and relationship they have is amazing. I guess family doesn't necessarily require blood ties.

You have hit upon something I believe very strongly in. Especially because I have an only child and especially since I have some unsavory chunks of family... your REAL family is the one you make for yourself. If you do a good job as a parent you'll be asked to stick around. That's a great motivator for me to be kind and nurturing and patient. I don't want to get kicked out ;)
I was going to write pretty much exactly what Kelly did.
Family is as family does. :)
And when are you going to come and visit my new blog? Miss you.
Kelly, you are so right. I am seeing more and more everyday that the family we are creating is so much better. This "sister" is LK's son's ex-fiancee, yet she is the one who has been around. She is the one who doesn't judge everything we do. She is the one who regularly gives me a much needed break during LK's absence. I have been struggling with LK gone and I haven't been the best mommy. I'm working on it. I really want to be able to stick around. Getting kicked out of my daughter's life is the last thing in the world I would want.
Sheri, where is your blog? You never sent me a link..or did you and I missed it. Link me up woman!
Sorry Shady,
I figured you would just click on my name. Maybe I should have made the rounds and let people know BEFORE I deleted the old blog. Oops!
So glad you finally found me though.
:)
These two may have been sisters in another life...or something close like that. Whatever...I love the above comments! Anyhow, my gosh your friend has some REALLY long hair! WoW!
